Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress. Her leading role on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The seventh season of the show was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, Speech and Family Therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English descent. Sedgwick declares herself Jewish, and she has stated that she is a participant in Passover seders
