Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born on March 4 1954 is an actress from Canada. O'Hara has been the recipient of several distinctions that include the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. She was named as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honored with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress while she was a part of The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, she was part the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd first began working on Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara received high praise for her comedy writing and acting skills, earning her an Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for an episode of a Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara was a member of the newly formed Second City artistic Advisory Board, which was led by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
